A Christ-Centered Wedding in Montgomery, Alabama
There’s something uniquely beautiful about a Christ-centered wedding filled with so much family history. Emmalyne and Trey were high school sweethearts who met as a football player and cheerleader for rival high schools. From high school to Auburn University—where Trey played football and Emmalyne cheered—these two built a foundation of shared memories, leading to a wedding that celebrated their love and family history.
As their wedding videographer, we had a front row seat to capture the love and legacy of this couple. Emmalyne and Trey’s wedding was a day full of love, laughter, and nostalgia, set against the backdrop of her grandparents’ Montgomery, Alabama home. This is the same place her parents were married. Below is their film. Discover the timeless beauty of their day and see why capturing these sentimental moments in their wedding video is priceless.
From High School Sweethearts to a Timeless Celebration
Emmalyne and Trey’s journey to their wedding day is nothing short of heartwarming. They met in high school, brought together by football and cheerleading, and stayed by each other’s side through college at Auburn University. When they decided to get married, they chose her grandparents’ home in Montgomery, Alabama as the wedding reception venue—a place woven with countless family memories. They had taken photos there before high school dances, celebrated family milestones, and even got engaged on the property, making it the perfect location to start their next chapter.
A Christ-Centered Ceremony at First Baptist Church
Their wedding ceremony was at First Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama. They wanted their wedding ceremony to be Christ-Centered. Afterward, they celebrated their wedding reception at her grandparents’ home. Emmalyne chose to wear her mother’s wedding dress, an antique gown that her grandmother had found. Family legacy was woven into every detail of the day. As Trey watched his bride walk down the aisle, his emotional reaction is a moment Emmalyne will never forget and their future children will get to see in their wedding video.
Capturing Every First Look on Video
One of the most touching aspects of Emmalyne and Trey’s day was the series of “first looks” Emmalyne shared—not only with Trey but also with her father, brothers, and grandparents. Each first look held its own special emotion, highlighting her close bonds with her family. These moments are reminders of how videography allows couples to relive the joy of witnessing their loved ones' reactions.
Emotional Moments in Their Video
From the anticipation of Emmalyne walking down the aisle to Trey’s awe-struck expression, these were moments filled with emotion. One of our favorite videography highlights was editing together her dad’s speech from the rehearsal dinner with her walk down the aisle, seamlessly blending words and visuals into a powerful moment. These intentional edit choices allow couples to relive their wedding day in a unique way.
Family Heirlooms and Sentimental Touches
Throughout the day, small but significant details carried deep meaning: the cake knife from her parents’ wedding, the timeless dress her grandmother found, and the cherished memories around every corner of her grandparents' home. These are the touches that make their wedding unique.
A Vibrant Reception with Elvis and the Auburn Spirit
After a sentimental ceremony, Emmalyne and Trey were ready to celebrate, and they brought their fun-loving personalities to the reception! Emmalyne, a huge Elvis fan, was surprised by an Elvis impersonator for her first dance and father-daughter dance. From there, the party continued with the high energy of the Az-Izz Band, plenty of dancing, and the Auburn fight song—because no Auburn celebration is complete without it! Guests enjoyed dancing, sharing stories, and relaxing in cozy seating areas across the property.
A Grateful Testimonial
One of the best parts is hearing how much these videos mean to our couples. Emmalyne’s feedback was, “We are BLOWN AWAY! It is absolutely perfect and the sweetest summary of our whole weekend!! Y’all are unbelievably talented!!!” Moments like these remind us of the importance of our work and how videography lets couples relive every emotion, every joyful moment, and every precious detail. We are grateful we could be their Montgomery wedding videographer!
