Lyric Theatre Wedding in Oxford, Mississippi

The first look is one of our favorite moments to capture for a couple’s wedding video! For Amy and Blake’s wedding video, it was the sweetest moment to open the film with. Having a wedding video means every moment for them is captured, from Blake crying before he even turns around to him walking towards Amy and wrapping her into an embrace to hearing him choke out the words "you look beautiful”.  Every single moment and word is preserved for a lifetime. Brides and grooms often tell us that the first look was a blur and they can’t wait to watch their wedding video.

Amy and Blake came back to the town where it all began to get married, Oxford, Mississippi. They had met in an accounting class the summer before their senior year at Ole Miss. Oxford was a beautiful place to get married, especially during the Christmas season. Downtown Oxford has the most picturesque town square that feels like a Hallmark movie during Christmas.

Amy and the bridesmaids got ready at the historic Isom Place. The house was perfect for the girls to have room to get hair and makeup done by the fabulous The Studio Oxford, to get into their elegant dress from Bella Bridemaids, and to enjoy time together. The bridesmaids screamed when they saw Amy in her Sareh Nouri from Carriage House Bridal. Everyone agreed, this dress was perfect for her!

The wedding ceremony took place on the Ole Miss campus at Paris-Yates Chapel. Making their wedding vows on campus, where it all began, was such a special moment! Following the ceremony, the party headed to The Lyric in downtown Oxford to celebrate. The Lyric is a theater with a long history dating back to the 1800s. The Lyric offered such a unique backdrop for their wedding reception.

The Six Piece Suits were an amazing wedding band! The party was nonstop and they were incredibly entertaining. The party never stopped! They are one of the best wedding bands we have worked with. The guests filled up on food from A&N catering and cake from Bremma’s bakery so they would have energy to dance the night away.

During the reception, we followed Amy and Blake as they walked through downtown Oxford during Christmas. Those moments felt like a Hallmark movie as Amy and Blake walked through streets wet from rain and surrounded by Christmas lights. They stopped in an alley, which is where they had a photo taken not too long after they started dating. It was a sweet time for them to enjoy some time alone to reflect on the day. Then it was back to The Lyric to dance the night away!

Amy and Blake’s Christmas southern wedding video is emotional from the moment it starts and ends in a huge celebration!
